Nebraska baseball remains solidly on top of the Big Ten Conference standings.

The Huskers took two-of-three games from Ohio State over the weekend in Lincoln to improve to 22-7 on the year and 5-1 in the league. The Buckeyes fall to 13-14 and 3-3 in Big Ten play.

NU took the Friday game 3-0 thanks to a complete game shutout from Brett Sears. Ohio State managed just two hits on the day as Sears notched his seventh consecutive quality start in improving to 6-0.

The bats were needed in a big way Saturday, as Nebraska used a six run fifth inning to erase a two run deficit. The Huskers would win 7-3. Dylan Carey got the scoring started with a two run home run while Cayden Brumbaugh tallied a double and a triple.

Sunday saw Nebraska fall behind early again but this time never mounted a comeback. Ohio State took the series finale 9-3.
